‘Grand Theft Auto IV’ is exhilarating adventure

gta.jpgGrand Theft Auto IV was released worldwide (except Japan) on 29 April 2008. GTA IV is a sandbox-style action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North.It is the ninth title in the Grand Theft Auto series and the first in its fourth generation.The game is set in a re-imagined universe, with little-to-no continuity with previous games. The setting is a redesigned Liberty City, based heavily on New York City. The game follows Niko Bellic, an Eastern European who comes to the United States in search of the “American Dream”, only to find his cousin has lied about the promised wealth and luxury that would be awaiting him.

Let’s cut right to the chase: Grand Theft Auto IV is not a video game for kids, tweens or even young teenagers. As with its controversial predecessors, the latest in the 70 million unit-selling series is a Mature-rated adventure, created for players 17 years of age and older as it gives you a virtual taste of the criminal underworld.
