U.S. Republican presidential hopeful John McCain appreciated Democratic opposition Barack Obama before a meeting attended by pro-Obama folks. He was giving speech at the annual convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, or NAACP, Cincinnati, Ohio.
The various NAACP members are African-Americans, who are giving maximum support to Obama, an African-American. President George W. Bush has just got 11 percent of the black vote.
McCain stated, “Don’t tell him about my wordings, but he is an amazing fellow in various manner. He has influenced several Americans and some of them had wrongly thought that a political campaign could be of no use to them.
His success should make every person of Americans to feel proud. Definitely, I would like his success not go as long as he desires for.” His comments were wonderfully received with applauses and laughs from the crowd.
McCain told the people in crowd that he and Obama have “differences” when it comes to the area of economy, and “pure differences” about the development of government but maintained a distance from criticizing his rival before the huge pro-Obama audience.
