New war robot for US military

Robot manufacturer iRobot Corporation and research and development company Metal Storm have together invented a war robot for the U.S. military.
Experts behind the Terminator-like war robot have yet to name it.
Sources said, “The robot is being marketed for “border patrol†and “crowd control†scenarios.†They say that they are trying to enable the machine to work in several other military situations.

Chinese engineer jailed for US military technology theft

Chinese engineer was arrested because he stole sensitive military technology from US firms and tired to sell it to China, Thailand and Malaysia.
Meng Xiaodong, 44, a former Chinese national now living in California, was arrested in 2006 on allegations he stole trade secrets from San Jose-based firm Quantum 3D throughout 2003 and 2004 with the aim of selling them overseas.
He later pleaded guilty to charges of violating the Economic Espionage Act and one count of violating the Arms Export Control Act before being sentenced by a federal judge in San Jose on Wednesday.
