Bradley Cooper and Hillary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, are an item. Citing “multiple sources,” Page Six reported on July 12 that the two have been “quietly dating … for a few months now” and “keeping it really quiet.” The superstar couple was apparently set up through none other than Vogue editor Anna Wintour. A Page Six source said of the new couple, “They are perfect for each other. They’re both into power and politics and human affairs.” The insider noted that Huma “has told a few friends” that she has a “new man,” but “she didn’t say who it was” and is keeping her relationship with Bradley “very close to her chest.”

Errol Musk, the 76-year-old father of Elon Musk, confirmed that he fathered an “unplanned” baby with his 35-year-old stepdaughter. It’s the second child that Errol and Jana Bezuidenhout share. The Tesla founder’s father was married to Jana’s mother for 18 years and they had two children together. Errol also helped raise Jana. According to reports, Elon was livid when his father and Jana had a kid, as the two grew up together. Addressing the elephant in the room, Errol said his other daughters were “shocked” by his relationship with Jana because “to them it was their sister.” He added, “And they still don’t like it. They still feel a bit creepy about it, because she’s their sister, their half-sister.”
Tom Jones was forced to cancel a concert in Hungary on July 12 after falling ill. A media report claimed the “Sexbomb” singer “collapsed” about an hour before the show was set to begin. Tom, though, countered the claim, saying he simply contracted an illness. “Hello to all concerned. I travelled last night from the UK to Budapest and woke this morning with an uncomfortable throat. A specialist came to visit and diagnosed ‘viral laryngitis.’ He strongly advised postponing the show and prescribed medication and vocal rest. I did not ‘collapse’ anywhere at any time, that is pure rumour,” he said on Instagram. “Hopefully the inflammation will calm soon as I am looking forward to continuing my wonderful summer tour.”

Ivana Trump — the Czechoslovakia-born former champion skier, model and businesswoman who was the first wife of former president Donald Trump — has died at 73, her family confirmed on July 14. ABC News reported that New York City paramedics responded to a cardiac arrest call at Ivana’s Upper East Side apartment. “Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” the Trump family said in a statement. “Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and 10 grandchildren.” Ivana’s first ex-husband paid tribute to her on his Truth Social platform, calling her a “wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.” He added, “Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her.”
The 2022 nominations are out, and, per usual, some people are celebrating while others lament their snubs. “Succession” and “Ted Lasso” dominated major categories. Reacting to his nod for outstanding lead actor, Jeremy Strong said, “It is the role of a lifetime and an immeasurable gift to be part of making this show. I am so proud of my fellow ensemble members and the whole ‘Succession’ family. A wholehearted congratulations to all of my fellow nominees. And as we are in the midst of filming season 4 right now, I’ll just say this: Dad – It’s On.” While many beamed, shows like “Yellowstone” and “This Is Us” were snubbed, as was Selena Gomez in the acting categories (she was nominated as a producer for “Only Murders in the Building.”) Her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short were recognized.
Bad Blood? Mickey Rourke is firmly in the “meh” camp in regard to Tom Cruise and his box office draw. While appearing on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Mickey was asked his feelings about “Top Gun: Maverick,” which has raked in more than $1 billion at the global box office. “That doesn’t mean s*** to me. The guy’s been doing the same f****** part for 35 years. I got no respect for that,” Mickey said, dubbing the “Mission: Impossible” actor “irrelevant.” He added, “I don’t care about money and power. I care about when I watch Al Pacino work and Chris Walken and [Robert] De Niro’s early work and Richard Harris’s work and Ray Winstone’s work. That’s the kind of actor I want to be like. Monty Clift and [Marlon] Brando back in the day.”
“Sopranos” staple Tony Sirico was laid to rest on July 13 in South Brooklyn, New York. The funeral was broadcast via livestream. Tony, who played Paulie “Walnuts” Gualtieri on the hit HBO show, often played a gangster on screen, having done so in “Gotti” and “Goodfellas” too. “The Sopranos” co-stars Lorraine Bracco, Stevie Van Zandt and Joseph Gannascoli all attended the funeral service. Stevie told the New York Post, “Tony was one of my lifelong best friends — and one of a kind, you know? One of a kind. I’m certainly going to miss him.” Tony passed away on July 8 at 79. He’d reportedly been battling dementia and was under the care of his daughter.
Meghan Markle has a new nickname: the “Princess of Montecito.” A new report claims the Duchess of Sussex’s neighbors gave her the unofficial title due to her luxurious lifestyle. “There’s a lot more going on in Meghan’s world than people think, she just keeps it very private these days but her royal status gives her a lot of leverage,” a source told the UK’s Closer magazine. “She spends most of her time in Montecito, but she heads into LA every week or so.” Since moving to the Santa Barbara, California, area two years ago, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, have spent time at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, hiking the hills or dining at high-end restaurants. “If she’s going into Beverly Hills or West Hollywood for lunch or dinner, she’ll generally call ahead and request a table that is completely secluded,” the source said. Meghan also makes time to schmooze. “She spends a fair amount of time at Oprah [Winfrey]’s palatial house, where they’ll kick back with her closest friend, Gayle King, and talk about everything from Meghan’s future plans to what’s going on back in the UK and how Harry’s coping with everything,” the source said. “Despite her former acting career, she doesn’t go to the movies much but they’ve been known to watch private screenings at Oprah’s place, and other power players in LA have hosted them for dinner parties and spiritual gatherings.”
